Allan B. Cohen is a Certified Public Accountant from the State of New York since 1981. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He graduated Cum Laude from Bernard M. Baruch College in 1977 with a bachelor of business administration degree.
He has worked in public accounting since 1977, including being a partner in the firm of Hermele & Kozin LLP from January 1, 1990 through April 30, 1999, effective May 1, 1999 he became the president of Allan B Cohen CPA PC. On January 1, 2008, he became a partner in Raphael, Sanders, Goldberg, Nikpour & Cohen CPA’s PLLC.
He has lectured numerous times on various topics among groups including the Nassau Chapter Tax Committees, The Nassau Bar Association, The Suffolk Bar Association, North Folk Bank and several lectures sponsored by Hermele & Kozin LLP.
Additionally, he has in the past written several articles on tax matters for the Nassau Chapter Committee newsletters.
